The plan’s open features, which would enable it to integrate different actors in the process, as well as the way in which the individual buildings’ functions were articulated, displayed an unambiguously urban complexity. This complexity is what set the plan apart from proposals based on repetition and regularity, as well as from the macro-buildings, cloistered buildings and superblocks.
