Ernst Anton Plischke, one of the greatest modern architects. Before being forced to emigrate to New Zealand where he ran a successful architectural office, at a joung age he built the legendary “Gamerith House” at Lake Attersee. After the war he returns to his city as a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, however his proposals for the development of the City failed to become a reality.
In celebration of his 100th birthday (2003) students and friends of the E.A. Plischke society founded the Plischke prize which is awarded for the third time this year, highlighting the human and spiritual aspects in architecture, reminding the collective memory this fundamental factors and true standards when judging architecture.

The 2014 Ernst A. Plischke prize is given ex aequo to two special constructions with different programs and building areas:
ERNST A. PLISCHKE PRIZE 2014 to the master in clay construction Martin Rauch together with the Swiss architect Roger Boltshauser for the Rauch House in Schlins, Vorarlberg (Austria)
ERNST A. PLISCHKE PRIZE 2014 to the architect Laura P. Spinadel and her partners Jean Pierre Bolívar and Bernd Pflüger from BUSarchitektur for the Master Plan, Landscape design and the Teaching Center of the new Campus of the Vienna University of Economics and Business, Vienna(Austria).
The award ceremony took place on October 22nd, 2014 at 7pm in the Auditorium of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
