“Salzburg, the ‘stage of the world’, is read on the occasion of the celebrations of 20 years UNESCO World Heritage Site, and - further in the proud tone - it says that one claims to be a city of particular value to humanity. The inexhaustible commitment to the preservation of monuments and the old town is rewarded with growing numbers of tourists. Public investment clearly adds value to all.
The Boulderbar Salzburg also gives rise to global sentiments such as “finally finding a place where, as a cosmopolitan, I feel I am at home”. (…) The curtain can arise here day and night, because the monumental sliding walls of the existing building were left so that the Boulder Bar Salzburg can extend into both the public space of the district, as well as, as in the medieval street theatre, the onlookers themselves just gather around the stage portals. One thing you can say with certainty: Here architecture has created forcefields and reinvented the dynamics of social space both indoors and outdoors - and the youth accepted it with passion!
